My Life, Story, Travel Diaries & More

Hi, I am Jacquelon, but you can call me “Jackie,” and this is how travel became a part of my DNA.

I grew up in a military family, lived on the East Coast of the United States, the West Coast and a few states in between, as well as four years in Panama.  At age 12 we moved to Tokyo where we lived until I graduated from high school.  After a few years in college, the travel bug got the best of me and I became a flight attendant (or Stewardess as we were called) for Delta Airlines.  A few years later (well…quite a few), marriage and three children I started a travel agency in Southern California, which ultimately lead me to accept a position as Business Development Manager for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises.  Bundle all that experience together and you have someone who has the knowledge and the love of travel, to plan travel itineraries for friends, family and clients.

About Concierge 4 Travel

I created this blog to share my travel knowledge and experience as someone who’s life has revolved around travel since birth. I will provide details to help you make a decision about your next travel destination based on today’s travel environment. And, of course there will be a few stories along the way. This will be a weekly blog with an occasional “out of box” post thrown into the mix relating to “food and wine”. Of course, they do go hand in hand, whether you have an interest in a a wine tasting weekend, or to sharpen your cooking skills for a week in Italy or just want a relaxed casual getaway. I promise I will not give you my “opinion” about a destination but I will give you my “advice".

Along the way, I also developed an interest in cooking. I enjoy preparing great meals for friends and family, and of course, that interest includes wine. Fortunately, we now have a son-in-law who is a chef and has helped me understand the science behind cooking.

Living in different countries exposes you to different cultures that are unique to that country. Living in various parts of the US also gives you insight into the differences in lifestyle. It is fun just reading restaurant menus from different regions of the country and then trying to figure out if you can duplicate the taste in your kitchen.

I have been sharing my background and experiences with friends and family for years. I have recommended vacation destinations, planned itineraries, and escorted golf groups to Ireland, Scotland, and New Zealand, and culinary groups to Greece and Italy, sometimes as a part of a pre or post-cruise itinerary, or just land.

So, sit back, relax, and let your “Concierge 4 Travel” take you on a journey that might just be on your bucket list.
